PE and Sports Premium at Plumpton School
Department for Education Vision for Primary PE and Sports Premium
ALL pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activities and sport.
The government has been providing additional funding for schools since 2013 to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding – provided jointly by the Department for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport – is ring fenced and therefore can only be spent on the provision of PE and Sport in schools. It is expected to continue to 2020.
Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and Sports but have the freedom to choose how they do this.

However, we always search for ways to enhance our provision for the children at Plumpton School, which is why we measure the impact our spending of the PE and Sports Premium to ensure improvements to the curriculum are made.
